The WAD100 Radar water level sensor is a 76–81 GHz FMCW radar product designed for continuous liquid level monitoring in applications such as rivers, reservoirs, underground pipe networks, manholes, and industrial tanks.

It features a bracket-mounted design that eliminates the need for on-site wiring, ensuring easy installation. Powered by a proprietary CMOS millimeter-wave RF chip and featuring a 5 GHz operating bandwidth combined with a narrow 6° beam angle, the device achieves a measurement accuracy of ±1 mm, a dead zone of less than 10 cm, and a measurement range of 0.1 m to 65 m. Its low-power design ensures a service life of over three years, while its IP67 protection rating allows it to withstand harsh outdoor environments. It supports RS485 (Modbus-RTU) communication and configurable high/low water level alarms, facilitating seamless integration into existing monitoring systems.

Installation Guidelines

During installation, the WAD100 radar antenna must be aligned vertically with the liquid surface to ensure stable echo signal return. Any deviation in the installation angle can lead to signal attenuation and reduced measurement accuracy; therefore, vertical installation is essential for ensuring measurement stability. When selecting an installation location, avoid significant obstructions within the beam path-such as tank walls, mounting brackets, or riverbank slopes-to prevent false echoes. For applications in wells or vessels, it is recommended to install the device in the center and maintain a distance of at least 20 cm from the sidewalls to minimize reflection interference.
