1.Product introduction

Ry-drt soil heat flux sensor (also known as "soil heat flux plate", "heat flow meter") is mainly used to measure the energy balance of soil and the heat conductivity of soil layer. The soil heat flux sensor uses a thermopile to measure the temperature gradient, which is composed of two different metal materials. Thermopile detector receives thermal radiation, which can produce thermoelectric potential between two nodes of different materials. The output voltage of the heat flux sensor is in the form of voltage, which is proportional to the heat flux. The output voltage is a millivolt signal, which is read by the data acquisition system.

Each soil heat flux sensor gives the calibrated sensitivity coefficient.

In the process of use, we must pay attention to the positive and negative sides of the heat flux sensor. The correct placement is face up, because after the soil surface absorbs the net solar radiation, it transmits energy into the deep layer of the soil in the form of molecular conduction, so as to increase the temperature of the lower soil layer. In other words, the heat flux of the soil is positive when the temperature of the soil surface is low At the deep layer temperature, the heat will be transferred from the deep layer of the soil, and the soil heat flux is negative. This process is called heat exchange in soil.

In a year, the soil heat flux changes with seasons. In summer, the soil heat flux is positive, that is, there is heat entering the soil layer, and the value is large; in winter, the soil heat flux is negative, and the heat in the soil is released to the atmosphere, but the quantity is small.

3. Installation and maintenance

The installation of the RY-DRT soil heat flux sensor should be selected in a representative place within the research range. If the ground surface is more complex, the sensor should be placed in an effective location with a lower coverage area and a more balanced soil heat flux.

First, use a small shovel to dig a vertical pit, determine the distance from the heat flux sensor to the top of the ground according to the user's requirements, and then dig a horizontal incision on the side of the pit with a knife to keep the soil surface intact or to a minimum Without being damaged, insert the heat flux sensor into the horizontal incision. In order to measure the accurate soil heat flux, the heat flux plate must be in full contact with the soil.

Remember, do not lead the output wire of the heat flux board directly to the surface of the soil. A small section of the output wire of the heat flux board should be buried in the soil to reduce the heat conduction of the output wire.

After all the sensors are installed, be sure to restore the excavated soil as soon as possible.
